I use the same ingredents but different ratio. To much water - With my changes its 5 stars - I use the can of limeade; then add - half a can of tequila; half a can of T.S; and half a can of water. Pour over ice in a salt rimmed glass then add a little Ameretto. YUMMY-01 Jan 2011

Limey, luscious, sweet but still tart and NOT FROZEN! This is perfect--I didn't add salt or extra lime but some of my guests did (also scaled back the water. Next time I will turbo charge the flavor--omit the water and use light beer. To make it sweeter, substitute the water for lemon lime soda.-24 Mar 2013

How to make the perfect margarita

"It's a cleaner margarita," said Aniston, during a 2018 interview with InStyle talking to her friend Molly McNearney, who is married to talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

McNearney praised Aniston's margarita-making skills and told her, "You're really good at [making them]."

While many margarita recipes call for some type of sweetener, Aniston is a purist.

"No sugar, no mixes, no agave," she said. "I don't like sweet drinks."

Instead, she sticks to the three classic ingredients that many of America's top mixologists have previously said are the only ones that should ever really be in a true margarita.

4-Ingredient Skinny Margarita

"Oh, lord, it's barely a recipe," she said. "It's basically silver tequila with lime juice shaken and over rocks. And some people like a little Cointreau, some don't."

Aniston said she likes a little of bit Cointreau added to her margarita. She told Yahoo in 2015 that "it's delicious." As for the type of silver tequila in her margarita, Patrón has been a favorite in the past. "I love [it]," she added.

Don Julio 1942 has also been one of her favorite agave-based spirits, but that's just for sipping. "It's so yummy, it has a little sweetness to it, which I usually don't like," she said.

Aniston's ex-husband Justin Theroux actually may have been the one who came up with the method of making the star's favorite "cleaner" margarita.

"Justin actually makes the perfect margarita . because there's no agave, no sugar, no mix," she told Yahoo. "It's pure tequila, lime juice, a squinch [sic] of Cointreau."

Whether or not it's Theroux's method doesn't matter. Aniston's marriage to Theroux may have ended, but a great margarita is forever.

How to Make Watermelon Jalapeño Margaritas

Start by making the Jalapeño Simple Syrup which gives these drinks some sweet heat. The margarita recipe I’m sharing is for 1 drink, but the syrup will make enough for approximately 8 drinks, as this stuff keeps in the fridge for several weeks.

Add 1/2 cup each water and sugar to a small saucepan then, if you want the margaritas on the less spicy side, remove the ribs and seeds from 1 jalapeño and add to the pan. If you want the margaritas really spicy, slice the jalapeño then add, seeds and all, into the pan.

Simmer until the sugar has dissolved then let the syrup cool off the heat. Strain the jalapeño simple syrup into a mason jar or container then refrigerate.

Next, blend or use a juicer to make fresh watermelon juice. You’ll need 2oz (1/4 cup) watermelon juice per margarita. FYI, in my experience testing this recipe, chopped watermelon will lose approximitely 1/2 cup in volume after being blended, ie 2 cups chopped watermelon will yield 1-1/2 cups watermelon juice.

Strain the watermelon juice into a container through a fine mesh sieve then refrigerate. Technically watermelon juice can stay fresh up to 5 days in the fridge, though it separates which makes me feel weird, so I like to blend/strain/use fresh.

It’s drinkin’ time! To make 1 margarita, add 2oz each watermelon juice and silver tequila, and 1oz each fresh lime juice and Jalapeño Simple Syrup into a rocks or cocktail glass then stir to combine and add ice. Alternatively you could add the ingredients into a shaker, fill with ice, and shake to chill. Stuff a fresh jalapeño slice or 17 inside then you’re off to the races. I hope you LOVE this easy, spicy, sweet margarita recipe – cheers!

Refreshing Cucumber Lime Margaritas

I just love margaritas. I crave them on warm, summery days. But they have to be made juuust right.

Margaritas are best when they’re homemade. I’ve never found a premade margarita mix that I like. They are all too sugary and just, well, fake tasting. Nothing can beat fresh lime juice.

Plus, those premade mixes have SO many calories! This delicious cucumber lime margarita only has 135 calories. It’s a drink both your mouth and waist will love.

And like my other favorite skinny cocktail, this sugar free margarita should help you avoid any hangovers the next day. Which means if you have a few of these on Monday night for Cinco de Mayo, you’ll be good to go Tuesday morning.

These super refreshing cucumber lime margaritas are my new obsession. They are made with just 3 ingredients: cucumber juice, tequila and lime juice. Doesn’t get simpler than that. It tastes just like a margarita, with a hint of cooling cucumber juice.

The cucumber gives these margaritas a refreshing flavor without adding sugar and very few calories. I feel like the cucumber juice is hydrating me, even though it’s a cocktail. Drinking this is basically like going on a juice cleanse, right?

You can make the cucumber juice in a juicer or a blender. Be sure to peel the cucumber before hand, since the skin tends to be a bit more bitter. If you don’t have a juicer, just blend the cucumber in a blender and strain the juice from the pulp using a fine mesh sieve.

The lime juice gives the margarita a nice, tart bite that compliments the cucumber juice wonderfully and gives this drink an authentic margarita flavor.

And the tequila gives you a nice little buzz, *wink*.

I just love the gorgeous, naturally green color the cucumber juice gives these cucumber lime margaritas. No artificial colors or flavors here!

A margarita is a great way to celebrate the arrival of summer (or any season, really). This variation uses gourmet tangerine syrup and muddled citrus and to add a fresh, tart vibe to the classic cocktail.
